Angels in America, Part One: Millenium Approaches

Angels in America: Millennium Approaches becomes the emotional and political heart of the season — an unflinching cry of grief, rage, queerness, and reckoning in the midst of crisis. Here, the very fabric of America is stretched and tested, and still, hope emerges.

In the first part of Tony Kushner's epic, set in 1980's New York City, a gay man is abandoned by his lover when he contracts the AIDS virus, and a closeted Mormon lawyer's marriage to his pill-popping wife stalls. Other characters include the infamous McCarthy-ite lawyer Roy Cohn, Ethel Rosenberg, a former drag queen who works as a nurse, and an angel.

Running August 5-22! This play is intended for mature audiences.

We need three (3) volunteers per night to cover the positions of box office, usher, and concessions. As a volunteer, you also get to see that performance for free*! 

• Box office volunteers will sit at the box office table and help sell tickets, check people in, and provide information to patron before the show.
• Concession volunteers will be stationed in the concession stand to sell drinks and snacks to patrons before the show and during intermission. They will also help collect trash and straighten up the theatre after the performance.

All volunteers will need to arrive at the performance venue by 6:15pm on the night you select to volunteer (12:45 pm on Saturday matinees). Click the link to access the Volunteer Sign Up form and reserve your spot! 

For this production, we are asking all volunteers to please wear either all black or a white top and black pants.
