Capturing the brutal, tender and dramatic lives of contemporary Black women, for colored girls... offers a transformative, riveting evening of provocative dance, music and poetry. Nominated for two Tony Awards in its original run in 1977 and a whopping 7 Tony Awards in its revival production in 2022, this groundbreaking "choreopoem" is a spellbinding collection of vivid prose and free verse narratives about and performed by Black women.

Running time is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes with one 15-minute intermission.
This production is rated PG-13 for intense adult themes and strong language.
We need three (3) volunteers per night to cover the positions of box office, usher, and concessions. As a volunteer, you also get to see that performance for free*!
All volunteers will need to arrive at the performance venue by 6:15pm on the night you select to volunteer (12:45 pm on Saturday matinees). Click the link to access the Volunteer Sign Up form and reserve your spot!
For this production, we are asking all volunteers to please wear either all black or a white top and black pants.
